Yeah, I'm (sort of) familiar with that line of reasoning. But the goal is not to glorify Jesus, but to know God, which is equivalent to entering God's kingdom as well as "descend of Holy Spirit". That is in other traditions known as enlightenment or self-realization. (And where anyone takes it from there is anyone's guess.)
