"you would say that your experience has been deeper"

I would say that this is a misunderstanding as I certainly cannot judge the depth of your experiences. As I see it, the only difference in our approaches -- and I only assume based on our previous exchanges -- is that I deliberately played with my mind via meditation and entheogens for extended periods of time. Still, most of my experiences were kindergarten level, especially when compared to e.g. those monks who (foolishly!) burned themselves alive without batting an eye.

What that "exercise" taught me, however, (and why I consider it necessary) was that no experience could tell me what's the nature of reality. All I ever got was an altered perception. Question still remained -- of what? And that eventually became irrelevant. So, when you say:

"It's hard to imagine being a tabula rasa"

I should, perhaps, rephrase the question. If you simply had to make a conclusion about reality right now and knew that all belief systems as well as all explanations you ever heard are wrong, what could you say about reality of your situation with 100% certainty?
