You should really brush up your knowledge of history. Civilizations were cosmopolitan and in close contact as long as they existed (and people in general long before civilizations even became a thing). The only difference today is the speed of exchange -- while today it's seconds to days, 10s of 1000s of years ago the magnitude was days to months. Also, when you look at the remnants of historical worldviews surviving to this day, you will discover that they are predominantly skeptic, humanitarian, and some even atheistic (e.g. Pirahã people), so those traits are hardly a modern invention. It's obvious that, like the majority of other self-professed secular intellectuals, you confuse institutionalized religion with a way of life. Thus, while your observations are correct in terms of (institutionalized) religions (which includes old as well as modern sects), the conclusions are laughable in terms of (not only intuitive) understanding of reality and way of life.
