You Have Nothing to Lose

Do you want to run a state? Be my guest. Do you want to organize the flow of goods? You’re more than welcome. Do you want to manage natural resources and produce energy? You have my unbending support. Do you want to take care of land and farm animals? Kudos to you. Do you want to heal, teach, create, invent, explore? Go ahead.

Now, fill in the blanks. Also, imagine areas that would get little appreciation from the population to be heavily automated and AI-supported. Of course, only if that would be an option in terms of peculiarities of a particular field of interest — a heavily automated and AI-supported “teacher” seems simply superfluous. On the other hand, a division of semi-autonomous water pipe repairing drones with distributed remote human management keeping an eye on them, or water pipes that don’t break in the first place and similar concepts, those make perfect sense.

Thus everything gets done, with “money” mentioned exactly once.

And the fail-safe is that at the point when people would be able to accept such a solution, they would also understand their responsibility because they could also see their mutual togetherness.

But to be able to truly see that, one must know oneself. Yet, no one can be forced. Not because of some nebulous moral grounds or “higher” principles, but only because it’s simply impossible. As it should be — as you cannot force love, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.

So much for free will.
