You could phrase it that way. But if it's "your soul," who is you, whom you call I, to whom that soul belongs. Unless by soul you mean ego individuality because, AFAICT, that one has to die indeed. If only for a split of a second. But yes, realizing that one is one with soul of all, that one is literally it, feels like finally living or being resurrected from dead.
