You Cannot See If You Don’t Look

Refusing to turn your attention toward yourself with the same objective detachment with which you study the outside world is the same as refusal to look into the microscope to see for yourself that bacteria are indeed real. Dismissing enlightenment, moksha, or nirvana because you didn’t try to reach it is the same as dismissing evolution by ignoring the available evidence. Some people do both.
