Yes and no. It is true that our bodies as all of creation (which also includes your latest iPhone) is (in religious terms) “sacred and holy”, but to say that, because “how much use religions have made of material things” validates consumerism, is based on a twisted theology of which transubstantiation is part. What you exhibit is basically “idolatry” (again in Abrahamic terms).
