Yes, all paths are unique in their particulars. However, that, by definition, makes everyone a trailblazer (which is why e.g. sharing of private revelations is utterly useless). What I meant by the part you quoted is that "doing" spiritual practice is just a feel-good ego boost. And while one feeds the ego, one cannot see past it.
