Which false dilemma and false analogy are you referring to? I ask because AFAICT:
Ad 1. Yes, satisfaction is satisfaction, pain is pain, red is red, etc. -- what is, is, and that's that. Sure there's no soul as traditionally understood/explained in Hinduism of this (and also Buddha's) day (i.e. one being = one personal soul) , but --
Ad 2. (An)-Atman (i.e. that from which personal notion of self derives itself while it "observes its own aggregates") is still indubitably Brahman -- not as part of, not as of the same essence, but identical as in one and the same.
Thus, the pinnacle of selflessness is also the ultimate selfishness as the "whole" acts for its own benefit. Why harm oneself? Makes no sense.
When it comes to suffering, there is basically no such thing. What we call as such are merely various kinds of pain we reject/refuse to accept/etc. And most of it is simply inflicted by people on themselves and their surroundings due to their ignorance. Some amount of pain is inevitable, still, the fulfillment does not come from a way of life. It's ever-present, it just has to be discovered (for a lack of better word on my part).
