When two different people from the same culture look at the same apple their perceptions differ. Both have different experiences, but both will call it red apple. At which point the term qualia is devoid of meaning. You may as well continue to use the old term perception or experience. If you presuppose that the experience is objective and the same for both of those people (both experience "redness"), hence there are qualia, I'm afraid that's demonstrably false.
