What you call “Higher Self [which] communicates through dreams, divination (for example Tarot readings and I Ching consultations), synchronistic events, powerful intuitions, and so-called Freudian slips,” is psyche decoding information that is present but either outside of range of senses or outside of focus of awareness.

The process works the same way as associative Rorschach test works. There the unknown is made legible and brought within one's conceptual context / framework by constructing the translation from parts of already known symbols and patterns. All what the process does is that it reveals one's position in causal streams of universe.

Well, you may call that position your purpose or place in the world, but it's definitely no message from your “Higher Self.” What you think of as soul is God, which, as I already repeated ad nauseam, is consciousness. And that one is not yours. You are it.
