Well, this was inspired by current state of public discourse. It should serve as a 101, or a sort of “starting point”, because the emotions listed are the ones that are easy to identify for everyone. In reality, the “red lights” are seldom this clear-cut (TBH, I intended but in the end forgot to mentioned that). Emotions, at least AFAICT, come in multifaceted “bundles”, which are hard to put into concise words (I guess, that explains the existence of art).
As for tying input to emotion — definitely. That’s were instinct or resonation come into play IMO. Here I would probably mention emotional responses like “fulfilling” and “draining”, but I didn’t want to go into that part any deeper, as I wanted to deal only with emotions that mark the actual dissonance. Once that is dissolved, it’s fairly easy to navigate the emerging landscape.
