Still, as you say, and IIRC I repeated many, many times, over and over again -- "selflessness [is] just as wrongheaded as selfishness" -- which means that you can freely choose the one that suits you. If you want to wallow in misery, be my guest, if you like to be at peace, by all means go for it. Btw. I eagerly await an article in which you will treat your beloved cosmicism to the same amount of hyper-skepticism as the rest of the worldviews you find an issue with.
