Well, I must object – the kids were stolen not surrendered. When you are a sole voice of reason for your kids, when you stand against armies of boomers (who are still in power) and their status quo, such result is to be expected. But yes, the blame falls on all fellow X-ers who “grew up”, betrayed and abandoned the fight, changed ripped jeans for suits and dresses and allowed this to happen. Something similar happened to hippies as well. But I don't lose hope. The seeds were planted and they are sprouting. Millennials are completely lost, but Gen Z is very similar to Gen X.
