Well, I lived through the Velvet Revolution and it was not that clear cut as you describe it. Also, other countries were not as peaceful. Yugoslavia descended into civil war, Romania had their executions, etc. As for the wealth, I have to admit that I never thought that total assets around 1M put one into top 10% (had to look it up — indeed, it seems that above 1M in US is only around 7%). One has to wonder just how much more really owns the infamous top 1%. Then again, your attitude, “This is mine and I won’t give a cent” is pretty selfish and greedy, no matter your reasons.
