For those of you who read Quartet Party — in the original text, I incorrectly assumed that Dittersdorf was of aristocratic origin. In reality he was a son of a military (and later theatrical) tailor from Vienna and became baron only later in his life thanks to his musical prowess. Now his formal decompositions make even more sense … and as you may have noticed also a clear pattern emerged.
