Transhuman Evolution

Imagine billions of people doing only charity. Alas, what charity can be done today, if I have to take something from somewhere and pass it further along, slicing off and keeping my portion of the pie in the process? It forces conflict upon me by default. And it does not matter whether I take things by negotiation, persuasion, trickery, or plain brute force.

So, yes — we should be all employed in charity. Returning to our roots as foragers, only now gathering what is intentionally charitably offered, while simply hunting the secrets of Universe, its forms, atoms, quarks, and fields, to their utmost limits.

This is, by the way and as far as I can tell, the evolutionary fail-safe that is preventing us to advance on Kardashev scale.

I mean, a switch to charity only (and I don’t mean the “charities” who in this day and age vigorously take in order to give) presupposes a humanity already evolved beyond all possible excuses and rationalizations that reject unconditional collaboration. And advancing on Kardashev scale requires exactly such levels of global collaboration.

Thus, we have literally our evolution in our hands, but, by a strange twist of irony, it’s a matter of behavioral choice. Not technology. It’s obvious that, in order for people to evolve to cooperative mindset that embraces not only every human being but also our “mother ship” Earth, there needs to be a common rallying point.

Unfortunately but also thankfully, the only aspect we truly share is our “I-ness”, our subjectivity, that singular first person perspective spatiotemporaly uniform to the point of identity. Unfortunately, because it’s so “low level” that people, who are each completely unique and individual, must first let go of all their cherished illusions and preconceptions of how special they are. Thankfully, because it’s so “low level” as to be the great equalizer.

That’s why self-knowledge is of utmost importance and why self-realization is the final key. That’s what it means to become transhuman, to transcend the untermensch. After all, when you stop being one, you realize, there are no übermenschen. Then and only then you can really “accelerate.” In all other instances, if you are not among those who fearfully oppose the change for all the wrong reasons, you just blindly race off the cliff or charge toward a solid wall. Perhaps with a dumb, optimistically elated grin on your face, but still.

But as always and with everything, the choice is yours.

I’ve made mine long ago.
