This led me, for whatever reasons, to Westminster Catechism and the doctrine of divine immutability. I never put much emphasis on the actual process of change as, to me, sea was always a sea no matter whether stormy or completely calm. The bewilderment in my case came from actual forms. That is, how can e.g. sea and land be the same? Not to mention God? LOL, as you say above -- thankfully, truth demands no words ;)
