That's how I remember you writing about it. Plus something that Sehnsucht is the cause of our natural spiritual inclinations. At least, that was what stuck with me. I searched for your article to refresh my memory, but I could not find it.
Anyway, if by Sehnsuscht you mean "empty gaping hole in the chest that cannot be filled" (I guess, that's the most common depiction) and not just a basic nostalgia of recollection optimism, it's true that it somehow steers us toward spirituality, because when we try everything what else is there left. But the point of spirituality is to eventually stumble upon a simple truth that the yearning can be satisfied. The yarning was never unsatisfied to begin with.
