That Which Scares You

Do you really want to subdue this world? Are you crazy? And that’s putting it in a polite way. This world may be material, it may be a dream, it may be even dream of material or material of dream, the outcome is obviously the same in any case — you are the product of this world.

That is to say, your individual expression of who you are. Because to be precise, that world which gives you shape and is merely an oscillating shimmering of consciousness infinity, the source of all individual bliss, is the inseparable child of reality knowing itself through endless mirrors. And that reality is you — the naked subject — which you refer to as “I.”

It should be easy to see why omnipresence in both time and space, omniscience, omnipotence, or omnibenevolence can be naturally observed, even though no one has ever found clear signs of deliberate cosmic blueprint. Well, God cannot forget because God does not remember in the first place.

It should be also pretty clear why no individual can under average circumstances directly perceive thoughts of others. Or their memories, feelings, and sensations. Sure, one can tune into others’ minds almost completely, one can even read through their past existence that echoes in cosmos, but forms always remain (seemingly) separate, even in cases of chemical, or even closer, more “intimate,” bonds.

For better or worse you live a life of a mirror in charge of a mirror. That’s the extent of your sphere of influence and your responsibility. That’s the burden of free choice that many abdicate in order to defer to some perceived higher power and its approval as authority.

Human authority, I must add, because there is not a person in the world claiming the right to make decisions for others, who would not derive their power from some human made artifact (in some cases explained away or excused just as a symbol of intangible universal forces) and/or brute force. The lazy folks, petrified to choose, then make the most stupid choice of them all — they blindly obey with whomever they resonate and say they just follow orders, muses, or whatever. If the “higher power” approves, it has to be good and correct.

But do you understand the implications of there being nothing beside God? Do you understand what it means that that “God” is you, the subject? Do you understand the absurdity of our social rituals, which we call culture and defend tooth and nail, in the context of the factual cosmic situation we are finding ourselves in? (And no, science has it largely right.)

Moreover, can you fathom the ramifications of the situation that we already live in that fabled “garden of Eden?” Can you grasp the gravity of the fact that this is already it, always was, and will be?

You say, you do… So, what are you afraid of?
