That what you call appearance of stillness is the actual reality. Of course, as it is today the stillness appears moving. Exactly as ocean -- waves (i.e. ocean in motion) are the ocean itself, and that ocean is still (these crude analogies from manifested world however work only to a limited extent, because the stillness and movement exist in superposition in the same "place" and at the same "time").

My musings about "the split" were only that -- musings. Basically the question was, what are the technicalities of how the movement arises. But as I said previously, this is an unsolvable "mystery". In essence, and to paraphrase, the arising of illusory nature of the world of phenomena ("maya") is inscrutable and indescribable because it is neither real nor unreal (as I said above, it is something positive, existing in superposition, yet it is illusory i.e. not real). So, there's no reason to get too hung up on it.

I have the feeling that you view aspects as attributes. That being said, something infinite is the same at all times in all places no matter what illusory superimposed form it appears as. If something disappears in certain places or over the course of time, or if it changes into something else, that something is not infinite.
