Thanks for the text. I really appreciate it. I was curious how you deal with the issue (transcriptions, canon selection, etc.) and you pretty much confirmed what I thought. I agree with your reasoning, but only to a point: did you consider that God may also have allowed scripture to be deliberately corrupted in places (see e.g. Jeremiah 8:8) in order to weed out adherents of rigid book legalism (which was and is the case with Judaism, but is also the case with Christianity when the Book is followed as the law) and separate the "people of the book" from those who put love of truth, that is God, above anything else?
