So, you "grapple against the whole notion of "literal reality,"" I've met people who reject it altogether. And you know my position. (There are also animals, who could not care less about concepts and notions of reality.) Yet, for all of us the walls behave identically. I really fail to see what's there to discuss. As for surfing -- no matter how smooth one glides along the lines of one's belief, since it's a belief there will always be serious bumps when universe disagrees with said belief. It's a matter of when not if. And of course, once one attempts to actually surf, the tracks become glaringly obvious.
