Q&A
Where does the flame go when it goes out? What is outside of cosmos? Where is the omnipresent absolute reality? Who or what is God? And who am I? How to access memories of past lives? How to reliably know they are really memories of past lives? And whose memories are they anyway? Are they even memories? How to detect one’s soul? How to know God? What are the observable effects of supernatural on the natural world? What is infinite bliss? What is love? And is omnibenevolent God accepting of Devil too? How to know the answers?
So many questions, so little time.
If I were Jesus or Krishna, I would certainly not elevate believers. I would praise equally every doubting Thomas and each inquisitive mind. After all, the former can easily fall for all kinds of scam, while the latter may doubt the properties of fire even if their hand is burnt to a crisp. Both approaches have their advantages and pitfalls. But what can you expect when the myths of yore were written by believers and/or phrased in a way that encourages blind faith? Anyway.
If I were Shiva, I would praise all psychonauts, ascetics, and sorcerers. You know, those battle-hardened folks whose scarred bodies and minds tell the stories of wild encounters with unfathomable and unknown. Though truth be told, I would praise them silently because the pride they take in their powers might go to their heads pushing their arrogance to pretty unbearable levels. Why feed their egos?
If I were Buddha or Lao Tzu, I would praise the ones who act without doing. Those unattached to how things pan out. Those who accept what comes their way and instead of breaking they simply bend without compromise. No, I don’t mean those who do good because they want to feel good about themselves, even if they are not aware of it. Neither those who mistake non-doing for idleness, nor those who bend over backwards in order to gain or avoid.
But I’m neither of those men. I am who I am, so I won’t praise anyone. I will just appreciate all those unattached inquisitive warriors who trust themselves and Universe. Only those beings can see eye to eye with each other. Sure, the rest is loved without conditions, some may be even praised as I said above — after all, everyone is free to be what they decide to be — but no human in their right mind marries their dog. Or worse.
Woof, woof 🐾 😹
