Nature is not organized into pyramid but into circle. This lack of detailed insight into (some) other subjects, which as a philosopher you must have (essentially every philosopher should be a polymath), when applied onto the "big picture", leads you to these incorrect conclusions such as what is nature's default modus operandi ergo what's the nature of nature, etc.

On a different note, once the nature of consciousness becomes a common secular knowledge, I'm fairly certain that all those myths and the exact places where they stand become quite clear.
