How funny, too, because I really did write the bulk of this in college, circa 1990 or so. Which I guess means my writing career has been all downhill from there! :0)

Mm, not necessarily, it may be that I just didn’t move past a certain age and the younger you resonates with me more. People around me use to complain that I should be more mature :D But it’s funny, you mention coming to terms with spiritual experiences — after I read your piece, I went to youtube to check a channel I use to watch from time to time, and the guy there was talking exactly about that. To paraphrase — if a spiritual experience gives you more peace and helps you to live a more fulfilling life take it as genuine, if it makes no difference it’s just [sic] “curiosity” and one may discard it. Well, just my “obligatory random tangent”. Anyway, the pleasure was all mine ;)
