Though I must add that I had to jump through hoops to read your piece in full (Medium has a hard paywall since August, so simple clearing of browser cache does not cut it anymore). Have you considered including friend links on the top of your locked articles? In that way you still can have your money and non-members can participate too. Just an idea to consider (especially when you mentioned that fabled Christian generosity ;P)
