Interesting takeaway. Never though of it that way. I was aiming at depicting the absurdity of a world where unrestricted mind over matter is a thing. When I was a kid, I wished that I could just wish things/events into existence. Then, one day, it hit me that if that was possible, I would manifest the monsters under my bed, too. So, I became grateful that the universe works the way it does, because I could never control myself to the point of not imagining disasters. And of course, if I, per chance, could, the world would lose all of its surprises ;)
