Interesting take. Just two remarks. First, that apostles had to debate what actually constitutes the (Mosaic) Law aka Covenant aka Torah during the Council of Jerusalem, tells a lot why Gnostics accused them of not possessing the “perfect knowledge” (that is, not being enlightened) as recorded by Irenaeus one and half century later. After all, the fact that the Law is Ten Commands only is clearly stated in Old Testament and various quotes of Jesus only underline it. (You will find the same sentiment also at the end of Book of Revelation, albeit that one postdates the Council of Jerusalem. But still.)

Second, when it comes to going back and conserving the original tradition, Christianity is actually the restoration of original Judaism, or the non-dual tradition of Melchizedek (bread and wine) that existed in Levant and which Abraham brought from Sumer to Canaan. It's the same tradition, by the way, that is at the root of Vedantic Advaita (and subsequently Buddhism, which is a similar attempt at restoration of Hinduism as that of Christianity in relation to Judaism).
