I would add that it's most probably just a misunderstood concept. An "enlightened" person can give valid pointers to people without said "attentional skill". They can guide them toward the obvious as they already know where to look. It's definitely possible with words, maybe it's possible even non-verbally. I've never met such "non-verbal teacher" myself, but there are people who can e.g. instill fear without saying a word. So, that's that. But yeah, "Abracadabra, hocus-pocus, voila -- now you are enlightened!" is utter BS and (almost?) always a scam.
