I was going to point out his relationship with Freud, but you've mentioned it. So, I just mention Beethoven, who similarly to Jung and Nazis, was fooled by Napoleon. It's not hard to imagine why both cases happened. Then again, Beethoven, while he retracted the dedication of Eroica to Napoleon, still called the symphony Bonaparte. Thus, there must have been something in Jung's case which made him resonate with Franco, Hitler, Mussolini and their ilk. And that, not that I lose sleep over it, is nevertheless rather troublesome, if you ask me.
