I guess, my comment will be somewhat off topic, but anyway -- I reread Job and Ecclesiastes and, frankly, I think those books don't talk about what you think they are talking about. Neither of them rebukes or makes fun of God or religion, but only human folly. Job, as it turns out, is secretly a very proud and self-righteous man even if his faith is unshakable which is, during the course of the book, brought into the light (and Job's awareness). Ecclesiastes then merely mocks the folly of human endeavors in a more thorough fashion (you can find almost identical theme in e.g. Ashtavakra Gita).

Also, why do you assume that God showed Moses his ass? It was behind, rear, or back. When someone looks at me from behind, ass is only one part of the whole picture. Similar theme (looking directly at God makes you go crazy/die) can be found in Bhagavad-Gita (i.e. Arjuna cannot withstand looking at the true form of Krishna). And then there is one inaccuracy I found somewhere in your comments -- Moses didn't enter the "promised land" because his generation was ungrateful, but because he doubted God (he didn't strike the stone at first as he was told IIRC).

And just as a side note, those similarities between Judaism and Advaita/Hindusim are not really surprising as they (together with Zoroastrianism) seem to have a common ancestor.
