I guess I didn't make myself sufficiently clear to you. When I said what I said, I meant that, no matter the path you are walking, no matter where you initially touched the elephant, the final goal is to realize that what you are touching is an elephant. Thus, I don't criticize your particular path nor do I encourage you to walk a different one, I merely try to incite you to follow through and take your path to its natural conclusion.
However, what I do criticize in your approach is that you have a certain preconceived interpretation of the "myth" and in an attempt to reconcile it with scientific explanation you either cherry pick or discard science that does not fit that interpretation (even though that science is correct), or you rely on outright rubbish to confirm your view (see your recent article on "new biology").
Just as a side note, the same mistake are making also e.g. existential nihilists, who instead of following through and realizing that it does not matter that nothing matters, end up as depressed, suicidal individuals in a seemingly hostile universe. And of course the same also applies to materialists whom you (rightfully) criticize for discarding still unexplained phenomena as irrelevant instead of trying to incorporate them into the already established and valid scientific framework.
Thus, what I encourage you to do is either adjust your interpretation of the "myth" to correlate with already confirmed knowledge, or set the "myth" aside for a moment, "reach" enlightenment and see the "big picture", and then reinterpret the "myth" accordingly.
I hope this clarifies my position sufficiently.
