I don't say divination methods are useless. As I said, they are great for identifying of unconscious drives. But eventually one "gets the message" either in dreams or simply as some form of direct insight without these tools. At least that's my experience -- nowadays, no matter the method (Tarot, I Ching, runes, I also used to calculate astrology charts, but that one's laborious AF), I'm always "told" what I already know and is obvious.
By "predestination" I meant specifically that part where you talk about choosing one's parents, etc. Although I don't subscribe to the faith that there is a personal soul inhabiting a body and which reincarnates until it "get's it" (long story, but as I said previously it's a verifiable observation), even if it was true, soul would be just a "lump" of consciousness (i.e. that from which our sense of "I-ness" originates). And again, consciousness has no attributes, does not think, does not remember, does not make choices, etc.
Anyway, rest assured, this life is unique. Yet, it surely makes sense to "get our lessons", because the same "I" that witnesses "now" will also witness all future ones.
