I don’t know, but last time I checked (today), NZ and Australia had almost the same SPI (NZ 88.93 ranked 7th, AU 88.02 ranked 12th), and Australia had slightly better numbers per 1M/population (both cases and deaths) in handling the pandemic than NZ. Also, when it comes to handling a pandemic, it makes a lot of difference when you are an isolated island with a relatively small population (5M). Well, and let’s not forget that there are countries with similar or better numbers than NZ in e.g. the middle of Europe. Just sayin’.
