“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me,” simply means that knowing “I” is the only way to know reality and see that “I” am/is who’s immortal or truly alive/existing (“is” is grammatically incorrect, “am” evokes a false notion of exclusivity which is where all the interpretation problems arise). That is, only through knowing (the nature of) “I”, genitive of which is “me”, one can know God. In short, you are already divine the same way as Jesus. You just don't know it yet, and hence, live in hell, fallen.
