Hardly. In that context the alpha male is God and Satan is that craving beta chimp desperately trying to usurp the leadership of the pack by all means available. You don't understand one crucial thing -- one does not become an alpha. It's impossible. One either is alpha, or one is not (see e.g. orangutans). That, does not imply any kind of hierarchy, however. Only if you feel less than. Then you also perceive some as more than, hence, in your head, there is a hierarchy and you feel the urge to surpass others on an imaginary ladder.
