Good points, nevertheless, this theist vs. atheist debate is like two men, both born blind, arguing about the color of sky (or sky itself). And of course, in such context "theist would have to show that God directs evolution to make us religious" -- that's why theists (but also so called “spiritual” folks) en masse attack evolution (modern synthesis), BBT, etc.

To me the real question is, who or what is this God we are talking about. And for that question we already have an answer that is completely in line with scientific methodology (testable, repeatable, falsifiable, able to make predictions, does not contradict the rest of valid science, etc.). But yes, theistic and spiritual delusions of an immanent and/or transcendent sky daddy or spirit or whatever ain't that.
