Because reality is truth, creation hinges on untruth, the primordial limitation of lie. In order to relate, that which is boundless must get borders and contract. And so, universe shifts in now, and change is seen in virtue of previous records stored as brief memos compared to each other. Untruth also flips the one who knows and is knowable to unknown and unknowable.
Thus, Maya is inscrutable. I know that the humming of universe, or lila, is not what it appears as and is an illusion. I know that the world is a lie. That much is certain because I know that the world is not the bottom of reality. Yet, what it actually is (beyond the fact that it is not apart from the truth), why it arises (beyond my own anthropocentric speculations), and, particularly, pinpointing the most initial specifics of how it happens (by which I don’t mean the more or less accurate descriptions of how the world works after the fact) are all in the domain of unknowable. Don’t believe me?
Dissolve categories, see past concepts. Leave hell, abandon heaven. Don’t stop at infinite space empty of any other form. Don’t stop in eternal moment of pitch black silence of deep sleep’s pure awareness where time stops because there is none. Despite their allure of already present ultimate calm, and although some call them formless, they are still their respective forms.
Go beyond. Retrace the causal trail back to where causality is no more. Exhaust your rigor and you will know.
