If cosmic background radiation is from infinite sources of light, redshifted off the visible spectrum, it would be perfect black body radiation.

CMB is a snapshot of a state of our Universe that was already an outcome of previous causes/states, which in turn appear to be results of irregularities or disturbances in an otherwise uniform “soup”. So, I would rather vouch for singularity, i.e. a single homogeneous source of thermodynamic equilibrium.

What I meant were concepts in the meaning of ideas (not exactly Platonic, but in the vein of). Something along the lines of potentials. Also, I should probably add that I see these concepts inherent in manifestations (i.e. concept emerges with its manifestation, while at the same time it guides the process of its own manifestation, because it is inherent in the system as the inevitable outcome of previously manifested states, in other words — each concept and manifestation naturally follow). I guess that map then would be a collection of linguistic/symbolic interpretations of any such concepts or ideas (spawned by the raw phenomena as they happen, i.e. “manifestations of properties” as you say).
