Chasing Shadows
People like to exclude themselves. It makes it easier to not have to look at themselves. That, however, creates separation — the proverbial existential problem of meaning. Blindly insisting that there is no one there to suffer is the same cope as faith in God who will make everything right. It’s the same obstinate hope that any unease will simply go away. Perhaps also with the cause. But the correct question is, “If I would accept the response, what would it tell about me?”

Only facts matter. What is that feeling in my body called again? It’s here, I may as well look at it better. Once the pattern is matched, see the concept of that emotion in relation to its trigger. See the implied possibilities that the situation evokes, see where your simulations lead, what future maybes trigger your buttons. See what pushed them in the past. The answers come because everyone knows when they don’t lie to themselves by there being no tension.
Rinse and repeat.
