Brahma is first simply because creation comes first -- all forms follow the pattern creation-preservation-destruction. It's not first as in most important or first in line (creation already entails destruction, or in other words, where there is Brahma, there is also Shiva). So, in context of Taoism, Brahma would be yang, Shiva yin, and Vishnu their movement or those small opposing dots in the middle of each of them.

As for that 2nd chapter -- I looked at NIV and Tanakh. In both cases verses 1-3 talk about 7th day (in which we live btw.) and the next story then begins with verse 4, "Such is the story of heaven and earth when they were created. When God יהוה made earth and heaven—" Indeed, you can split that verse in half, aligning first sentence with the previous part and considering the second sentence as starting another story, but that's just nitpicking IMO.

In any case, I'll wait and see. Hopefully :D
