As far as I'm concerned, I already said what's my problem with your article. But ok -- asceticism is not the anti-pole of socially induced habitual romantic mating rituals. It's not, "either ignorance of Sex & the city or sainthood of disgusted deprivation." But that's what all ascetics insist upon. I guess that it makes them feel good about themselves. Anyway, and as I said, asceticism is neither an exhaustive nor the sole way. Hence, your generalizations, while (oh, I forgot ;P) you speak only about eros, don't compute.
