Ah, I didn’t mention Chopra because I shy away from “woo-woo”. Quite to the contrary. But there are two types of teachers — one gives you a fish every now and then, another teaches you the art of fishing. First one tries to make you an addict, the second one tries to set you free. Chopra is the former, as his very existence depends on money he makes from his followers. If you don’t pay him anything and take just the useful stuff then it’s OK, but it’s a kind of a slippery slope. To quote you, “Been there, done that.” ;) Chopra is a first class con-man. I also have to add that the whole goal of “spirituality” is not to get an occasional hit of peace from mediation, but to live in the state of peace 24/7 which results from knowing one’s true nature. Alas, Chopra is verifiably no “knower of Brahman” he claims to be, so that’s that. As a side note, I didn’t notice those Chopra pieces were not behind paywall — my bad.
