Ah, correct. In similar manner, all his elaborations on tongues, prophecy, etc. can be considered as such (mystical experiences). Good point. (Though Romans 8 is a bit of a misrepresentation of what Holy Spirit truly is.)

Still, while I am fan of mystical experiences, I don't think they play crucial role on the path to self-realization. In many cases they are counterproductive and easily mistaken for the destination (and their sharing, beyond having a fun conversation with friends, has no point IMO). I think Buddhism, which extensively warns that siddhis ("psychic" powers) are not the goal and are a trap in and of itself, is quite spot on on this.
