Absurdity you describe is merely another thought that arises when thought process cannot cope with / rationalize the paradox that ego (another mind construct) is not the "pivot of I-ness". Essentially, an entrenched illusion realizes that it is not real. From the position of illusion it certainly appears absurd (or paradoxical). The mind goes in circles and cannot make sense of it but this eventually subsides (one simply stops trying to rationalize it all).
The absurdity I was hinting at is the notion which many folks subscribe to and which presupposes that life is an error (and subsequently that universe is flawed) despite the undeniable fact that life arose in complete accordance with natural laws. I would say that it stems from the naive intuitive observation of illusory body-mind dualism. Mind then bitches about physical restrictions of body and one of the conclusions is that life must be flawed and an error, thus absurd (which, upon closer inquiry, is revealed not to be the case -- it's just a personal assessment colored by illusion not an objective truth).
